Here are some common answers that we hope you will find useful whether you are dipping you toe in or taking a full plunge with classes at The View Studio.
What classes do you offer?
The View Studio offers a variety of drop-in classes in a range of Pilates Barre and yoga styles. Ranging from traditional Mysore-style Ashtanga, Vinyasa, yin and Hatha Flow. Visit our full timetable for class times; or check out our full class descriptions here.
I’m new to exercise/ Pilates/ Yoga/ Barre. Where should I start?
Choose between a beginners/ Improvers class or drop-in classes at a basics level. Please also let your instructor know that this is your first time.
When should I arrive?
For your first visit please arrive 15 minutes before class to register, familiarise yourself with the studio and get on your mat before class begins.
Can I eat before class?
It’s best to participate in a class on an empty stomach, so try to leave 1+ hour to digest your meal. If your stomach is growling, eat something small and nutritious. We have a small selection of Mace Energy Bars on sale for £1.50, which are a great pre or post workout snack. Stay hydrated.
What should I bring/wear?
No need to bring a mat, however if you have a favourite mat to use please do bring it. Wear clothes that allow unrestricted movement. The View Studio has changing facilities within the toilet area. We have a basket of complimentary toiletries for you to use to freshen up after class. We suggest leaving valuables at home as we don’t have any lockers.
How do I get to The View Studio?
We are located next door to St Andrews Aquarium. If you are coming from The Scores, we have a sign directly opposite Hotel Du Vin, head down towards the beach and walk down the steps. If coming from Bruce Embankment car park, walk towards the aquarium and then head either down the ramp or across the bridge and down the stairs to access the door. Please plan accordingly so you begin your class stress-free.
Can I get a refund?
Purchases made in person or online are final sale. There are no partial/retroactive refunds for blocks, memberships, courses or workshops. If you have pre-registered for a course/workshop and your circumstances have changed, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org in advance of the start date. Your course fee can be applied to a future course or workshop, which we are happy to help organise. There are no partial/retroactive refunds.
